Week 1 - Tutorial Task

Hello all! My name is Emily Burns. I am an international student from the United States and I will be studying here at Griffith University for the next 4 months! I am a Communication: Public Relations major with a minor in Business Management at the University of Hartford in Connecticut and I hope to become an Event/Wedding Planner some day! I am very organized and I love seeing dreams come to life through weddings and events. I will be taking a lot of foundation classes in the Hotel and Event Management area and I am so excited to emerge myself in my studies! I find that this course will be really interesting because we will be exploring the technology that we use on an every day basis. I consider myself to be pretty savvy when it comes to online social networking sites and mobile phones, whether I really am or not we will see. I chose this course because of its relevance in today's society and the growing importance that is put on new communication technology. I cannot wait to start blogging!
