Week 4 - Tutorial Task

Facebook is a social networking site that I, as well as millions of other people around the world, visit multiple times a day. The Terms of Service are clearly stated, basically ensuring that no laws are to be broken while using the site, and that the website is not responsible for any of the things that you post on your Facebook page. It states clearly the safety policy that they will “do [their] best to keep Facebook safe, but [they] cannot guarantee it. [They] need [our] help to do that” (Facebook 2011). Also, the Terms of Service explains that when a user posts photos and videos, otherwise known as IP content, it gives Facebook permission and license to use those documents. This can be avoided by deleting the IP License which basically deletes all of the information that you have ever posted on your Facebook. The Terms of Service also states that advertising cannot be done through your statuses. Advertising can only be paid for through Facebook and it must be through Ads.
